After 6 years since my last visit, I finally convinced myself to return to the car enthusiast's paradise, the Nürburgring, to attend the BELMOT Oldtimer Grand Prix 2025, a full weekend dedicated to historic car racing with paddocks full of old Formula 1s, sports prototypes, youngtimers and touring car legends. Numerous grids battled it out on the track in the typical, changeable weather of the area. First of all the 5th round of the 2025 Masters Racing Legends has taken place there. This championship by Masters Historic gathers the 3-litre engined Formula 1 cars from 1966 through to 1985. Glad to have had my dose of audio pornography kindly offered by some naturally-aspirated icons of the touring car racing golden era, with some old DTM, Group A and Super Tourenwagen, the latter having had two races entirely dedicated to them during the weekend. At the Oldtimer GP the DRM Revival cannot be missed. The German Racing Championship (Deutsche Rennsport Meisterschaft) was the most important motor racing series in Germany from 1972 to 1985, period during which both Group 2, Group 4 and Group 5 cars took part. Other championships were those reserved for classic endurance machines, one for Can-Am and sports prototypes, there was a championship reserved for Porsche machines and one for Ferrari GT race cars (Ferrari Club Deutschland). Last but not least an incredible lineup of Pre '65 Grand Prix, front-engined cars. Hope you like it!
