Let me know what other songs I should remix in this style :)👇🚀 Listen here: https://spinninrecords.com/releases/oliver-heldens-kate-ryan “After covid I’ve been cranking up the tempo sometimes at the end of my sets, and in the summer of 2021 when I was the closer of a festival in France I remember at the very end of my set, that I just wish I had a good remix or edit of the French EuroTrance classic ‘Désenchantée’ by @KateRyan cause that would’ve been absolutely perfect for that festival. So after that I decided I’ll make one myself for future shows in France, Belgium and the French part of Canada where I perform regularly, so I made a pretty simple edit at first muting the very low frequencies of the original and adding a big warehousy techno kickdrum, and that worked fantastic already at a few of these shows in France and Canada in 2022, but I also played it at my closing set at the Heldeep stage at Mysteryland in the Netherlands, not a French crowd ofcourse, but they were loving it! Afterwards the head A&R manager of Spinnin’ Records had seen a clip of that and he messaged me that he loved it and he was asking me if I wanted to release it officially. So I then went back into the studio and worked more on it, adding a few more elements like this happy hardcore binary voice synth arpeggio and some more percussion and fx. It’s been super fun to play this remix at the end of my sets, I’ve actually been working on a couple more tracks and remixes that are in a similar direction and I like to call this EuroRave, cause it’s not EuroTrance or Trance anymore, but it’s also not Techno, so here I present you my EuroRave remix of Kate Ryan – Désenchantée, out March 10th on Spinnin’ Deep.
