Do you want to edit a music or audio file in mp3 format? To edit an MP3 file, you should have audio editing software. In this video, we will learn some basic audio editing. Follow the steps as shown in this video.

1. Open your web browser.
2. In the Google search bar, type download audacity and press the Enter key on your keyboard.
3. Click on the Windows download link of audacityteam.org
4. Save the application file on your PC.
5. Double click on the downloaded audacity file, and follow the screen instructions to install the software.
6. After completing the installation process, the application of audacity will open.
7. Click on the File menu at the top left.
8. Click on the Import option from the dropdown list, and then click on the Audio…
9. Locate your saved MP3 file, and click on the Open button.
10. If you want to edit out a part of the audio file, then select some portion of an audio file.
11. In the toolbar, click on the Scissor icon, and this will delete the selected part from the audio timeline.
12. If you want to silent a portion of your audio file. Then, select that part first in the audio timeline, and then click on the icon of Silence audio selection.
13. You can copy and paste a part of the audio into your audio timeline.
14. To do so, select a part of audio that you want to repeat, and then click on the Copy clipboard icon.
15. Keep your mouse cursor in the audio timeline where you want to insert the copied audio, and then click on the Paste icon.
16. You can remove the unwanted silence space from the timeline.
17. You can try and use many available Effects to the audio timeline.
18. After completing your editing, click on the File menu.
19. From the dropdown list, click on the Export option.
20. Click on the Export as MP3 option from the sub-menu.
21. Give a name to your newly edited audio file.
22. Select the quality of the audio file, and click on the Save button.
23. You can Edit the Metadata Tags, and then click on the OK button.
24. This will save your edited file in MP3 format.
